Traverse City, Michigan, is a northern town on the coast of scenic Lake Michigan. The city is known for plentiful forests, skiing in the winter season and a variety of natural attractions like fresh-water beaches. Traverse City is a major producer of cherries and grapes, as well as robust regional wines.

The National Cherry Festival is held every year in Traverse City to attract tourists to visit the town during the annual cherry bloom. This action-packed celebration features more than 150 events to entertain all. More than half a million annual visitors flock to the town to take part in the festivities.

Platinum Members are entitled to special excursions and perks on their DreamTrip to Traverse City. This DreamTrip features an excursion to the U.S. Navy Blue Angels air show on Day 3, (depart at 12:45 to walk over to the show), and Platinum Members will enjoy an unobstructed view of the bay in stadium seats to watch them in action. Day 1

Check into the hotel any time after 3 p.m.
2-6 p.m.: Welcome table in the lobby.
7-8 p.m.: Welcome reception in the hotel at the rooftop terrace (weather permitting).

Day 2

2-10 p.m.: Wine Tour and Sleeping Bear Dunes; transportation and lunch included.
• Wine Tour includes 4 award-winning wineries: Black Star Farms, Mawby, Ciccone Vineyard & Winery, and a fourth vineyard to be determined.
• After the tastings, we will make our way to the Sleeping Bear Dunes in time to see the sunset.

Day 3

A day at your leisure. Suggested activities: Directly across the street from the hotel is Grand Traverse Bay beach. Play beach volleyball, rent kayaks and paddle board and enjoy the beach. The National Cherry Festival will be taking place throughout the week and will have concerts and fun for everyone. The Blue Angels United States Navy Flight Exhibition Team will be practicing on Thursday and Friday and performing their show on Saturday and Sunday.

Day 4

Check out of the hotel by 11 a.m.

Traverse City is a bicycle-friendly town. You will have your own bicycle to ride while you are there.

The bicycle rental company offers discounts on kayaks and paddleboards for members as well.

Wine Tour and Sleeping Bear Dunes:
• This tour requires much walking including walking on shifting sand and is not recommended for wheelchairs.

Airfare is not included in the trip price! The closest commercial airport to the hotel is Cherry Capital Airport (TVC). We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for any trip.

Make sure to arrange your own transfers between the airport and your hotel, as they’re not included in the trip price.

The distance from the airport to the hotel is approximately 5 miles (8 kilometers).

Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 91 days or more before your trip, you’ll get a refund less a fee of US$50. If you cancel between 46 and 90 days before your trip, you’ll get a refund less a fee of US$100. If you cancel within 45 days of your trip, your trip will not be refunded. All fees are on a per-person basis.

Name Change Policy: If you change any name(s) on your booking 45 days or more before the start date of your trip, there will be no fee for the name change(s). If you change any name(s) on your booking 44 to 31 days before the start date of your trip, you’ll be charged a fee of US$50 per name change. Name changes are not permitted within 30 days of the start date of your trip.

Members can’t combine DreamTrips™ Points. Your membership level determines the maximum amount of DreamTrips Points you can use. If you have more than 50 Rovia Bucks, you can apply them in the checkout process.

Hotel/resort credits and/or discounts cannot be converted to cash, and any not used during your stay will expire immediately upon your departure. Member is responsible for paying any taxes that may be added to items purchased with hotel/resort credit.

In the unfortunate event that an activity or excursion is no longer available, we will substitute a similar activity of equal or greater value.

As always, make sure that your passport/visa is up-to-date before you leave! It’s very important to double check that you have all the necessary identification required for the specific country you’re traveling to. Keep in mind that many countries require passports and/or visas to be valid for a minimum of six months after the end date of the trip.

Please note: Due to contractual supplier policies, we may not be able to confirm requested name or room changes to existing bookings for trips that are scheduled to travel within 30 days of your request.

Members with additional people in room, not booked prior to travel, will be charged the hotel’s prevailing rate, not the trip price.
